Hualiang Jiang
Prof. Hualiang Jiang is currently a professor of Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica. He is the deputy director of the institute and the director of the Drug Discovery and Design Center . He is the chief-scientist of one 973 project and acts as memberships for the scientific committee of several major research programs in China, such as National Basic Research Program in Protein Science, and Major Research Project of the National Natural Science Foundation. He also serves on the editorial advisory boards for several journals, such as Journal of Medicinal Chemistry and ChemMedChem .
Prof. Jiangs group focuses its research on drug design, discovery of drug new target, and the study of the relationship between the conformational change s of the drug target and the functions of the drugs by developing and applying new methods and technologies in the interdisciplinary field of biology, chemistry, computation and information technologies, etc. So far, he has more than 200 scientific publications, 10 monographs, and 80 patents.
